It’s A Goodbye To The Full Size HomePod - Apple officially discontinues via statement!
The HomePod has been a great speaker for many, with excellent sound and updates that brought Dolby Atmos and more… it’s hard to believe Apple has dropped the speaker without a update in sight!

Apples has sold the HomePod since 2018 and it’s always had mixed reviews due to price and features from Siri. The media compared the £329 speaker to Amazon’s Echo Dot which cost around £30 making the HomePod look like a option not worth getting.
The HomePod has been steady over the years with many people falling in love with its high end sound and HomeKit support. Siri has improved over the years but I can still see where it lacks over the competition.

In Apples officially statement
- HomePod mini has been a hit since its debut last fall, offering customers amazing sound, an intelligent assistant, and smart home control all for just $99. We are focusing our efforts on HomePod mini. We are discontinuing the original HomePod, it will continue to be available while supplies last through the Apple Online Store, Apple Retail Stores, and Apple Authorized Resellers. Apple will provide HomePod customers with software updates and service and support through Apple Care -
Apple set to focus on the HomePod Mini seems like a good direction at the moment as it has been a big success since launch. Thread support, U1 chip and a great sounding mini speaker was what Apple needed from the beginning and I hope the full size HomePod isn’t dead.
